BragThis.com Launches Honorary Bragging Rights Blog :

Bragthis.com, the social network for sharing bragging rights, announced release of its Honorary Bragging Rights Blog today. Honorary Bragging Rights are blog posts written by site editors that review, discuss, and bring to light noteworthy accomplishments, achievements, and stunts of internet users.

The first two recipients of Honorary Bragging Rights included a guy who successfully executed a daring backyard stunt on a bicycle and a pool player who has mastered several spectacular trick shots. Topics will not be limited in any manner except that they will feature one or more people doing something editors deem worth bragging about. Users who are awarded honorary bragging rights can post a badge to their own website or favorite social network profile that links back to their award page.

BragThis.com will begin by publishing two or more honorary bragging rights per week which can be accessed from the site’s homepage or via RSS feeds. Founder and executive manager Michael Evan Reiss states that “This will be a great opportunity to provide interesting content in the site’s early stages as well as to give users another BragThis.com product.”

Currently there is no official way that users can request honorary bragging rights, but users may submit ideas through regular site contact channels.

The new honorary feature is in perfect company with the BragThis.com model which allows users to create a profile and post their own bragging rights. Bragging rights may feature user generated content such as photos, audio, and video.

Internet Explorer 8 Beta - Major Issues : New changes to internet explorer wreaks havok.

Currently Bragthis.com is designed to run for Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3. We also have ensured that older browsers such as Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox 1 and 2 display this site correctly.

Internet Explorer 8 Beta by Microsoft is the latest in their long line of web browsers. It has been released as a Beta, which means that it is not finished and hopefully so. Upon testing Bragthis.com with IE8 Beta, numerous design issues became apparent. The way that IE8 renders websites has been significantly altered from the current standard.

Until IE8 is released in its final form, we will not optimize BragThis.com for it. If you are using this browser, please turn on compatibility mode (IE7) to use BragThis.com

We appologize for any inconvenience. If you are as unhappy as we are with how IE8 Beta works, please alert Microsoft so that they can release a final version that works for everybody.

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2008 -- BragThis.com, the social network for sharing bragging rights, announced release of a social awards and trophies feature in its latest set of upgrades. The awards and trophies system adds further pats on the back to BragThis.com users. BragThis.com webmasters can award users for accomplishing specific goals or giving notice to bragging rights of special merit.

With the launch of the awards system, BragThis.com gave out 3 initial awards. 1st to Boast 50 Stars was awarded to the user that first totaled 50 stars or points for posting their bragging rights. The Master Builder award was given to a user for automobile ingenuity. Finally, the He's on Fire award was given to a talented billiard player who posted a video of a trick shot. Awards add to the total point score of a user and can be posted to their favorite social network such as MySpace.com or Facebook.com.

BragThis.com launched in mid June and is off to a promising start.
